"SmartConsent" refers to the SmartConsent Chrome extension and its related website. "Developer" refers to the individual developer operating this service. "User" refers to anyone who installs or uses SmartConsent.
SmartConsent is a Chrome extension that blocks cookie consent popups by intercepting consent management platform scripts at the network level and hiding residual cookie banners via CSS. It is offered as a Free plan and a Pro plan.
Payment is processed securely via Stripe. As SmartConsent is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase, refunds are generally not available. However, if you experience a technical issue that prevents the Pro features from functioning, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a refund on a case-by-case basis.
You agree not to:
SmartConsent blocks consent management scripts, which means cookie preference dialogs will not appear on blocked sites. Cookies will be handled according to your browser's default settings (typically rejecting non-essential cookies). On some sites, blocking consent scripts may affect functionality if the site requires explicit consent to operate certain features. Users are responsible for their own cookie and privacy compliance.
All intellectual property rights in the SmartConsent extension, including its code, design, and branding, belong to the developer. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the extension in accordance with these terms.
SmartConsent is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the extension, including but not limited to damages resulting from blocked or unblocked cookie consent mechanisms.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated via extension updates.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the developer's place of residence.
